Ton of Cricket: Help us choose the greatest moment in Australian cricket history?

Juan J. Monroe December 1, 2021

With so many iconic feats to choose from, picking our best cricket moment is a tough task. So we want you to decide. VOTE NOW.

It’s an age-old question that is debated across the country every summer: “What is the greatest moment in Australian cricket history”? With so many iconic feats to choose from, fans can be forgiven for sitting on the fence, until now.

The summer of cricket has officially arrived and to celebrate a stacked coverage calendar, Foxtel – together with News Corp – is launching its Ton of Cricket campaign, to find out once and for all which moment resonates most with Australians.

Will this be Warnie’s “Gatting” ball? Tugga’s last century? Our women’s T20 team beating the world? Or anything else?

To help narrow the list, former paceman Brett Lee and Fox Cricket pundits have rounded up their top 100 moments in all formats of the game since 1877.

The sport’s biggest rivalry is just around the corner and you can catch the Ashes live and ad-free during play. New to Kayo? Start your free trial today.

Check out the list below and vote for your favorite and help us crown a winner.

We have arranged it in chronological order from 1877 and up to just a few weeks ago.

“Cutting down to 100 moments was no easy task and there were a lot of other amazing accomplishments that we couldn’t really fit in,” Lee said.

“There is a certain charm and a certain love of people for cricket because of the personal stories and the individual heroism that are part of the folklore.

“There is no doubt that this campaign will generate a lot of debate, but I hope it also triggers a lot of great memories and thrills fans for our greatest summer in cricket to date.”
