Hyundai brought the current generation i20 to the market last year and they introduced the N Line version of the premium sedan to the market this year. The N Line version of the i20 is actually a much sportier version of the regular i20. It is available with an optional 7-speed DCT and iMT gearbox with the turbocharged 1.0-liter engine. Here we have a video where a Sportz variant of Hyundai i20 has been carefully modified into an N Line version.
The video was uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES to their YouTube channel. The video shows all the modifications made to the car to make it look like an N Line i20. Starting at the front, the headlights are stock projectors, but now they come with LED DRLs. The front grille is also the same but, originally in the N line, it has a design similar to a checkered flag.
The lower part of the bumper however receives the red accent which gives it a sportier character. It retains the integrated fog lights and turn signals on the bumper. As for the side profile, the original black 5-spoke alloy rims have been replaced with the original N Line 16-inch alloy rims. A side skirt in red color has also been installed on this i20. The bottom edge of the door has now been finished in high gloss black for a uniform look.
The roof was blacked out and so were the ORVMs. The shark fin antenna has also been blackened. At the rear, just like in the original N Line i20, a glossy black diffuser was fitted to the car. Just by making minor changes, the regular i20 had started to look like an N Line version.
As you move in, the vlogger shows more modifications or customizations made to the car to achieve the desired look. Just like in the original version of the N line, the cup holders, AC ventilation knobs are finished in glossy black with red accents. The other cloth seats in this i20 have been replaced with custom made leatherette seat covers. It even came with a checkered flag on it. The red piping and stitching on the seat resembled those seen on N Line.
Vlogger mentions that the car’s regular steering wheel has been replaced with a flat-bottomed unit from the top variant. Cruise control was also activated in the car after the installation of the new steering wheel. The plastic cover around the instrument cluster and touchscreen entertainment system gets a glossy black finish and the AC vents have also been finished in a similar color. The pillars were then covered in black leather with red stitching to give the interior a more sporty look.
Overall the work done on this i20 looks very neat and if not everyone, at least some on the road might think of this car as an original N Line. The N Line is available with a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine. This engine generates 120 hp and 172 Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes with an option of 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT gearbox.
